 ***I am especially proud of the butterfly shadow boxes below. When my Papaw passed away unexpectedly, my entire family was devastated. He was the most kind, giving, and caring person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and I thank God every day that he was our Papaw. I knew I wanted to make the members of my family something special in remembrance of him and thought for a very long time about how I should do this. When I realized there were literally hundreds of his business cards left from the furniture store he owned, I hated to think they would eventually be thrown away. I cut them each into the butterflies so that the cards would be preserved as art. I felt that the cards becoming butterflies was beautiful and significant in its own right. I know somewhere out there my Papaw has his own set of wings now too.
